In October 2023, I was astonished and humbled to receive the Rise25 award from the Mozilla Foundation in honor of their 25 anniversary. The award was granted to 25 leaders who are making the Internet more ethical, responsible, and inclusive. The event was livestreamed by the Washington Post.

On the flight back, I wrote about the history of CAT Lab and how the award is inspiring me. True transformation isn’t the product of a few visionaries on a stage — it happens through the collective care of countless people investing in the good that we each uniquely see. By making that collective care more visible, Rise25 has made me more hopeful about our shared future.
